Speaking it into reality

Not 4 hours after I typed my last blog, I received a phone call from the producer of a musical I auditioned for on Monday, offering me the lead role in their musical. Yippee! This will be for a concert reading of the musical, which is a part of the development process. Here is the limited information I have at this point (pulled from the audition notice):

SOCKS is the true story of what happens to socks after they go missing in the dryer. The role of Cassie is described as: “Female. 20s. Alto/Mezzo. She is a Cashmere Sock who has lived a very good life on Madison Avenue. She is young, beautiful, sheltered and spoiled. In Sockland, she discovers her true identity, courage and power.” I will post more details as they become available.

  1. Yay!! Congrats!! That plot description sounds hilarious!

  2. Thank, Kat- I am pretty darned excited!

  3. Yay, Erin! Sounds great.
